We're excited to share some fantastic news from the Morgan Duke Conservation Society!

We're excited to share some fantastic news from the Morgan Duke Conservation Society! Our board of directors has been re-elected, and we couldn’t be happier to continue this journey with our dedicated team: James Sullivan, Kacie Quackenbush, Roy Quackenbush, and Carrie Gillen. Together, they're ready to lead us into an impactful 2025, focused on environmental conservation and community engagement.

James Sullivan, our passionate President for the past 11 years, is thrilled about what’s on the horizon. “There are a lot of projects lined up for 2025, and I’m excited to see how we can make a positive impact in our communities,” he said. His unwavering commitment to our mission is truly inspiring!

Kacie Quackenbush will continue her role as Vice President, bringing her tireless dedication to our initiatives. Carrie Gillen, our Chief Communications and Grants Officer! With her extensive experience, including her time in the United States Air Force, Carrie has been a driving force in securing grants and crafting press releases that elevate our mission to new heights.

We’re also thrilled to announce a new addition to our leadership team: Brittany Lewkowski joins us as Chief Conservation and Engagement Officer! With her background as a Biological Science Technician (Wildlife) at the USDA and her experience with the Student Conservation Association, Brittany is ready to dive in. She’ll be focusing on raising awareness for environmental conservation in areas where we have DEC Volunteer Stewardship Agreements, as well as partnerships with National and State Parks. Plus, she’ll be creating engaging content for our website and social media—so keep an eye out for her posts on our Facebook page!

As we gear up for another exciting year in 2025, we have an array of thrilling projects lined up. Thanks to a generous supporter, something fun is being planned for June! We can’t spill all the details just yet, you won’t want to miss it!

We’re incredibly grateful for the continued support of our community. Together, we can make a real difference in our environment and our lives. Here’s to a fantastic year ahead!
