Morgan Duke Conservation Society Welcomes Brittany Lewkowski as New Chief Conservation and Engagement Officer

The Morgan Duke Conservation Society is pleased to announce the appointment of Brittany Lewkowski as the new Chief Conservation and Engagement Officer. With  background in wildlife conservation and community engagement, Brittany is poised to enhance the Society’s outreach initiatives and environmental awareness efforts.

Brittany Lewkowski brings experience to her new role, having previously served as a Biological Science Technician (Wildlife) with the USDA. Her hands-on experience as a Trail Crew Member for the Student Conservation Association, combined with her internship at the Greater Cleveland Aquarium, has equipped her with the skills and knowledge essential for promoting effective conservation efforts.

In her new position, Brittany will lead community outreach programs and initiatives aimed at fostering environmental awareness. She will be actively involved in crafting conservation content for the Morgan Duke Conservation Society’s website, engaging with the public at various locations including Lake George Wild Forest and Saranac Lakes Wild Forest, and to raise awareness about environmental stewardship. Brittany will play a key role in gathering and analyzing data collected by conservation volunteers to develop environmental conservation reports.

“We are excited to welcome Brittany Lewkowski to our leadership team,” said James Sullivan of the Morgan Duke Conservation Society. “Her passion for wildlife conservation and her dedication to community engagement will undoubtedly strengthen our mission and outreach efforts.”

Brittany holds a Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Conservation from Unity Environmental University and is eager to connect with the community.
