**Morgan Duke Conservation Society Announces Renewal of
Adopt-A-Highway Permit on State Route 52 Walden**
Walden, NY – March 5, 2025 – The Morgan Duke Conservation Society is pleased to announce that the New York State Department of Transportation has officially renewed the Morgan Duke Conservation Society Adopt-A-Highway permit for State Route 52 in Walden. This initiative allows the Morgan Duke Conservation Society to actively participate in the maintenance and beautification of this vital roadway, which serves as a key route to the Village of Walden and surrounding towns.
The designated section of State Route 52 stretches between Dollar General, the local church, and Wallkill Valley Cemetery. This busy road is not only crucial for transportation but also for community engagement and environmental stewardship. The Morgan Duke Conservation Society is committed to keeping this area clean.
In addition to maintaining the highway, the Morgan Duke Conservation Society will be organizing community clean-up events and volunteer meetups to encourage local participation in preserving the natural beauty of our environment.
“We are excited to be back on State Route 52, contributing to the cleanliness and safety of our community,” said James Sullivan President of the Morgan Duke Conservation Society. “We invite everyone to join us in our efforts to keep this important roadway clean and to participate in our upcoming events.”
