Request a CLYNK Bag

The Morgan Duke Conservation Society is excited to announce its largest bottle drive fundraiser, set to take place from December 2024 through February 2025. This initiative aims to raise crucial funds to support conservation efforts throughout the Hudson Valley and Mid-Hudson Valley. Proceeds will directly benefit community clean-up events on State Route 52 in Walden through the Adopt a Highway program, as well as the construction and installation of birdhouses and duck nest boxes at the Bahsakill Wildlife Management Area.

The bottle and can fundraising drive will be accessible to everyone in the community. Participants can request free CLYNK bags by visiting our website at morgandukecs.ngo/clynk. Once the bags are filled with recyclable cans and bottles, participants can conveniently drop them off at their local Hannaford store. Our dedicated volunteers will also be scouring the trails in the backcountry to collect bottles and cans, ensuring they are recycled through CLYNK. This initiative not only raises funds for conservation but also prevents waste from ending up in landfills—a reminder of the long-lasting impact of litter, as illustrated by a volunteer who once discovered an old Pepsi can from the 1980s in Minnewaska State Park.

We have also observed a concerning trend of litter being left on DEC lands in the Adirondacks, highlighting the urgent need for community action. Together, we can combat this issue and promote a cleaner, healthier environment.

Individuals and businesses are invited to join our efforts by recycling their cans and bottles. Community members can request up to five free CLYNK bags or even a roll of bags with our organization’s tag sticker. Additionally, CLYNK holders can support our cause by donating a portion of their personal funds through the CLYNK website by searching for the Morgan Duke Conservation Society.

Let’s come together to keep cans and bottles out of landfills and off the roads. Join us in making a difference for our community and the environment!
